At 1-1 and with an injured opponent tonight, we look at a few keys to the game. Cutler is going to be out of the game, and the Bears lost several players last week on defense. Meanwhile, Dallas was able to get a win without Romo and are slowly going to get depth on defense as suspended players are about to join the team.
- Dallas will have to stop Langford and Jeffrey. This isn’t anything news worthy just basic football. If the Cowboy corners can play man coverage and allow the team to stack the box, this should allow blitzes and more bodies to stop the run game. If we do that, expect turnovers and short offensive possessions.
- Dak will have to start controlling the game more. Yes, the Bears are wounded but John Fox gets his guys to play. Prescott will have to show the poise we are used to seeing for the past two weeks, but he needs to let his instincts take over a little more in this game.
- The Cowboys need to be able to run the ball and control the time of possession. This game is important for the “boys to finally establish a run game. Zeke and Alfred will have a golden opportunity to get yardage and some touchdowns tonight.
- Put pressure on Hoyer. Yes, this was mentioned before, but the Dallas D needs to rattle Hoyer early because he will give you opportunities.
