Doug Free & Demarcus Ware Announce Retirement

Doug Free announced his retirement last week leaving another hole in the Cowboys offensive line. Demarcus Ware announced his retirement a few days later. Ware was a Bronco the past few years but will retire as the Cowboys All Time Leader in sacks. The news of Ware retiring isn’t alarming. He was having injury issues the past few years. Losing Doug Free is somewhat of a blow to the Cowboys. I’m not sure if the team was expecting his retirement, or if they indirectly forced him into it. Whatever the reason, the team will have a new RG and RT starting this training camp. Free was drafted by the team and stayed with Dallas his whole career. A veteran and one of the most expensive players on the team. Losing Free has cap and team implications along with leadership and experience.
