Texas Rangers – The Rangers had an abysmal season this year and could be saying farewell to legend Adrian Beltre. One thing we do know is Jeff Banister is out as the Manager of the team. What we also know is that Jon Daniels has a new right hand man. Shiraz Rehman the former Chicago Cubs assistant General Manager for Strategic Initiatives is joining the Rangers. Rehman will be the assistant General Manager for the team. In regards to the GM search, the Rangers interviewed Don Wakamatsu and Dusty Wathan so far. Currently they have interviewed a total of 8 candidates, 1 of which is former Yankees GM Joe Girardi. Sources: ESPN, Star Telegram
Dallas Stars – Hockey season is in full effect and the Stars have already played 7 games on the year. After starting off 3-1 on the season, Dallas has lost 3 straight. Opponents are scoring at will on Dallas and this could be an issue for the season. Point wise, Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov both have 10 points on the season with Jamie Benn not too far behind. The Stars need to get the defensive issues cleaned up or else it will be a VERY long season. Source: ESPN
Dallas Mavericks – NBA season kicked off this past week. The Mavericks made it on national television with Luka Doncic and company going up against DeAndre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns. Although Luka looked great early on, the Mavericks couldn’t keep up with the rebuilding Suns. We know that Dallas was missing a few key pieces but this should’ve been closer for the Mavericks. What is concerning to me is the play of Dennis Smith Jr. and Wesley Matthews. Both players played horribly based on what I saw against the Suns. I’m concerned but not alarmed as this was only one game on the year. It will be interesting to see how they gel as the season progresses. The home opener is against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight 10/20/18. Source: ESPN
Dallas Cowboys – News, News, News. Alright, lets start with Sean Lee. It looks like Lee will be playing this Sunday against the Washington Redskins. With him in the lineup it will be interesting to see how LVE does. The fact that Dallas has an abundance of linebackers is new to all of us. Next, Terrance Williams has been suspended by the NFL for 3 games this season. Williams received the suspension due to his public intoxication arrest in May. The Cowboys placed Williams on IR in Week 5. I believe the writing is on the wall that he’s gone at the end of the season. Finally, for the Cowboys to 3-3 on the season meant something was wrong. This week we learned about the communication issues on the road for this team. Prescott and company decided to hold a big time meeting so they could discuss this issue. We see it clearly that at home Dallas is completely different than on the road. The offense will have more of a microscope on them this Sunday against the hated Redskins. If these issues do not seem like they are fixed, then this could be a very long bye week for Linehan and company. Sources: DallasCowboys.com, InsideTheStar, Yahoo.com
