It wasn’t pretty but it wasn’t ugly. Dallas fought out an interesting win tonight beating the Bears in a game that they should’ve won. The 31-17 victory has the Cowboys on a 2 game winning streak, and a 2-1 record on the year. Dez Bryant finally found the endzone along with Prescott, Dunbar, and Morris. The Cowboys passing game did well and the usual suspects did there usual things. Witten and Beasley were effective, Bryant was sporadic, and Terrance Williams made another bone headed mistake. Ezekiel Elliott ran strong tonight and showed glimpses of why Dallas drafted him 4th overall. Dak Prescott was solid and efficient. He is becoming better each week and making adjustments and reads now in the pocket, and using his instincts which is creating plays for Dallas which they otherwise would not have. The defense was a mess but they did record a turnover towards the end of the game. Week 4 will have the Cowboys with a few (or maybe 1-2) extra bodies for defense. Dan Bailey did miss a field goal which was uncharacteristic, but nailed his extra point later on. These things happen, so we give the ultra efficient Bailey a pass. Overall the coaching was okay, but Garrett did make some bone headed decisions. Let’s see how we game plan against Chip and his 49ers.
