Cowboys Lose to Rams 35-30

In a game where the momentum swung back and forth throughout the day. This one was a tough one for Dallas. Having the lead for a good portion of the game, you could feel the uneasiness against these Rams. Todd Gurley lit up the Dallas defense with a slew of all purpose yards that would’ve made Marshall Faulk proud. At times it felt like the greatest show on turf was on the field the way the Rams moved the football.

The Cowboys could not slow down the Rams offensive attack at all today. There was no pressure on Goff but also no containment on Gurley. What looked troublesome in the first half eventually became a loss for the Cowboys. A big turnover by Switzer didn’t help, and the fact that Sean Lee was out of the game made a huge difference for the defense. We did see more of a connection between Dak and Dez but that fizzled as the game started to get tighter down the stretch. Dallas has to find a way to consistently create pressure or else they will not win shootouts. This offense is built to ground and pound and another issue is the offensive line. Yes, the offensive line is missing two key pieces and Dallas is feeling the effects. Next up is a Packers team that can shred the Dallas secondary.
