Well one week can do wonders and that is what happened for your Dallas Cowboys. Week 2 was fun and medicinal after the horrible performance in week 1. Now the Cowboys face a team that they have some things in common with. In the past this game would be billed as a high scoring offense versus a tough defense. Now though we are going to watch two teams searching for answers in a critical week 3 match up.

Home: Seattle Seahawks
Away: Dallas Cowboys
Game Time: 3:25 CST
Interesting Fact: The Seahawks have won the only playoff matchup between these two teams.
Last Meeting: December 24th, 2017. Dallas and Seattle played in a critical Christmas Eve game which resulted in the Seahawks winning 21-12. Playoff implications were on the line and Seattle with the victory was able to stay alive for one more week. Dallas on the other hand was sent home looking for answers on what would become another mediocre season under head coach Jason Garrett.
Matchup: I mean let me just state the obvious here right Dak Prescott versus Russell Wilson, Coach Richard versus his former team, Earl Thomas against his potential next season destination. The story lines are plenty.
What To Look For: Can Dallas build on last week’s victory? This is going to be one of the things we will watch for Sunday. Can they establish the run and take shots down the field? Will the team defense be as stout as the week before? A lot to watch for but more importantly, how will Dak run the offense.
Keys to Win:
- Establish Run: This is probably going to be an ongoing theme for the Cowboys this season. Once again it will be important for the team to establish the run. They kind of did this against the Giants but it was a mixed bag. What was great was seeing Dak on the Run Pass Option (RPO). This could help in establishing the run against Seattle.
- Contain Wilson: Russell Wilson is dynamic. He has a horrible offensive line but the dude can ball. Dallas will be hard pressed to make Wilson a pocket passer, but also not allow him to get out in the open field. If the Cowboys can do that, then they have a pretty good chance at a victory.
- Force Turnovers: We saw this last week with the Bears. Chicago forced two critical turnovers against the Seahawks which sealed the game for them. Dallas will have to force turnovers as well. They are facing a team right now that has no identity, and if they can cause some chaos early then this game will be in the books.
Prediction: Well last week I was wrong with my prediction and it was a good wrong. This week I believe Dallas will win this game even though they will be on the road. It will not be pretty and I believe it will also be a field goal contest. Dallas wins this 16-12.
